The rise of electric bikes has opened a new chapter in this history, with new brands stepping into the spotlight. Although the e-bike revolution in Spain may be progressing somewhat slower than in Belgium or the Netherlands, the growth is undeniable, and the future looks bright. The Spanish sun now also seems to be shining on this new generation of bicycle brands, ready to conquer the world.

This Barcelona-based company was established by Mat Rauzier, who has a passion for designing innovative and aesthetically pleasing bikes. Our Opinion on Spanish Bicycle Brands

We are particularly surprised by the limited number of high-quality Spanish brands. In Belgium, we see a much greater variety of brands for our small country, and in Spain, where the sun almost always shines, there should be more.

There are reasons for this. Belgium is historically a cycling country. We have (ironically) good cycling infrastructure, unlike Spain, where you often have to ride on the road. Cycling there is a challenge, although efforts are being made to improve it.

Therefore, there was also less interest in cycling. But now, with the advent of the electric bike, we are seeing a surge of new Spanish brands that need to compete with the trendy Dutch, Belgian, and German brands emerging.

Just as the sun rises above the Spanish horizon every day, Spanish bicycle brands continue to evolve and innovate. From established brands with a rich history to young, innovative players in the e-bike market, the passion for cycling shines through in every pedal stroke.
