Our founder, Frederic Mertens, is no stranger to the e-bike world. Before founding Sugg eBikes, he was a co-founder of Ahooga, another Brussels-based e-bike brand. At Ahooga, Mertens focused on creating ultra-light, foldable electric bikes that enhance urban mobility. His innovative work there, including the development of the unique twin-tube technology and the compact triangular frame, laid the groundwork for his later ventures with Sugg eBikes​.
