Who or What is Megamo?
Megamo is a renowned Spanish bicycle brand founded in 1987 in Girona. The brand emerged from a passion for competitive cycling and has its roots in mountain biking competitions. The brand, a family business, is still owned by the founders.
Over the years, Megamo has evolved into a versatile bicycle brand offering a wide range of bikes, including mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, trekking/city bikes, junior/kids’ bikes, and e-bikes. The brand has built a strong reputation through its involvement with professional cycling teams and participation in prestigious races such as the Cape Epic and the Andalucía Bike Race.
What Makes Megamo Bikes Good or Unique?
What makes Megamo stand out is their commitment to quality and innovation. The bikes are designed and developed by a dedicated R&D team in collaboration with their racing teams, resulting in models that reflect the latest trends and technologies in the cycling industry.
Their mountain bikes, such as the DX3 and TRACK R120 07, are known for their robust construction, advanced suspension systems, and durable materials. Another advantage is their fast delivery capability within Spain (24 hours) and France or Belgium (48 hours), which demonstrates their efficient logistical processes.
On the other hand, a downside could be that Megamo, despite its wide range, is less known outside Europe, which may limit the availability of some models in other regions. Additionally, the brand is strongly focused on performance-oriented bikes, which means recreational riders may not always fully benefit from their high-end models.
Megamo’s target audience includes both professional and recreational cyclists looking for quality and performance without an extremely high price tag. Their mountain bikes and road bikes are particularly popular among serious cyclists and competition-oriented riders, while their trekking and city bikes are appealing for daily use and long-distance rides. The junior/kids’ bikes offer younger riders the opportunity to grow up with a brand known for its quality and reliability.

Megamo Contact and Warranty
Megamo offers various warranties on their bicycles, depending on the type and usage conditions. Starting January 1, 2023, Megamo provides a lifetime warranty on all frames and rigid forks of bicycles purchased from authorized dealers.
To be eligible for this warranty, the original purchase receipt must be presented, and the bicycle must be used and maintained correctly. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and material defects but excludes damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or participation in races.
Additionally, Megamo provides a statutory warranty on the original components of their bicycles, in accordance with applicable laws. This warranty period is typically three years from the date of purchase. For defects in parts from other brands mounted on Megamo bicycles, such as Shimano or SRAM, the buyer must contact the respective manufacturer directly for warranty claims.
The warranty does not cover wear and tear of parts such as tires, chains, and brake pads, nor damage due to lack of maintenance, accidents, or use of the bicycle in conditions for which it was not intended, such as commercial use or rental. Replacing or modifying parts that are not compatible with the original design of the bicycle is also excluded from the warranty.
