Focus Bikes began its journey in 1993, when Mike Kluge, after a successful career in cyclocross, founded the brand. In collaboration with Derby Cycle Werke, Focus launched their first series of mountain bikes in 1994, consisting of six variants. The brand quickly expanded its offerings with touring bikes in 1995, followed by road bikes in 2003.

The year 2006 marked the introduction of their first carbon frames, a milestone confirming their commitment to innovation.
