Bosch Displays and Smart Controller
Bosch has also added some new displays to the Smart System. The Intuvia 100 is the latest and probably the clearest display in the Smart System.
Displays: Intuvia & Kiox
The Intuvia 100 display wirelessly connects to the Smart System via Bluetooth, featuring a 2.5-inch size with intuitive functions, large font, and high contrast. The Intuvia 100 display is easy to read in all weather conditions and simple to operate from the handlebars via remote controls.
Additionally, there’s the Kiox 300, which is slightly sleeker and more refined. It offers more options and is often used on sporty e-bikes.
Bosch LED Remote
The LED Remote is already well-known. It’s a nicely finished remote control used to manage the motor and functions. Nowadays, all bikes with Bosch technology come with an LED remote, unless you opt for a System Controller.
The System Controller is located on the frame tube of your bike, nicely integrated. It serves as the control unit for e-bikes with the Smart System, making your e-bike smart. It acts as the interface for software updates and displays key information clearly without distraction while riding.
Its seamless integration into the top tube ensures perfect protection, minimal visibility, and is ideal for sporty rides and design-oriented e-bikes, such as electric mountain bikes. The indicators change color when the battery level drops below 10%, indicating when it’s time to recharge.
The Smart Controller is not standard on every bike but rather on sporty and design models.
The Mini Remote is an additional control panel that expands the range of functions and enables safe operation. The Mini Remote connects to the System Controller via Bluetooth and can be flexibly mounted on the handlebars.
Thumb buttons ensure that your hands stay on the handlebars at all times. More buttons offer more functions, such as turning the e-bike light on or off, and convenient features like the smart Walk Assist with the new Hill Hold function.
Smart Features
The Bosch Smart System also includes convenient features likeย Walk Assist andย Hill Hold for enhanced safety and riding pleasure. The Hill Hold function prevents your e-bike from rolling backward unintentionally on steep inclines. This feature complements the smart Walk Assist. When you release the minus button on the control unit while pushing, the Hill Hold is activated. This feature prevents your e-bike from rolling backward for approximately 10 seconds without needing to engage the brake.
The well-known SmartphoneGrip allows you to mount your smartphone on the handlebars and turn it into a display with the eBike Flow app. The Ride Screen of the E-Flow app displays speed and battery level while riding, among other features. In a new feature, you can now transfer your planned routes from the Komoot app to the eBike Flow app, enhancing your personal biking experience and turning every journey into an outdoor adventure.
And Smart Security
Imagine arriving at your destination and parking your e-bike without worrying about theft. The Bosch Smart System provides enhanced theft protection and peace of mind with eBike Alarm. eBike Alarm complements eBike Lock, making your e-bike even more secure against theft and serving as an ideal addition to a mechanical lock. eBike Lock is already part of the eBike Flow app and only unlocks motor support when the corresponding digital key on your smartphone is recognized.
eBike Alarm expands theft protection further. For this, the ConnectModule must be installed by a specialist in your e-bike, and eBike Lock must be activated. When you turn off your e-bike, eBike Alarm is automatically activated. It responds to unexpected movements with alarm signals. If your e-bike is significantly moved, you receive a message on your smartphone, the tracking function is activated, and you can track the position of your e-bike in the eBike Flow app.
Connectivity and Personalization
The Bosch Smart System offers excellent connectivity with your smartphone, allowing you to track your riding data, use navigation, and even personalize your bike with different settings. For novice cyclists, this is a great way to further enhance your e-bike experience and track your progress as you gain more confidence and experience.
New Bosch e-Motors
The Bosch Smart System offers a new range of motors and batteries, including the Performance Line CX. Three new drive units are now available:
Performance Line CX:
This is the most versatile drive unit that now supports up to 85 Nm in the Smart System. Despite its power, it is almost silent, making it ideal for long trekking tours and when you want to enjoy quiet environments.
Performance Line Speed:
This drive unit provides powerful acceleration, up to 45 km/h. It is the ideal choice if you want to effortlessly and quickly cover long distances, such as during your daily commute.
CX Cargo Line:
This drive unit is suitable for any transport task and makes it easy to move loads from A to B in a relaxed, sustainable, and comfortable way.
Performance Line CX Race:
A limited edition motor that Bosch produces for extra sporty performance. With very high acceleration, this motor serves ‘professional eMTB and recreational athletes,’ as Bosch puts it. This includes a ‘race’ mode, 85 Nm of power, and 2.75 kg weight.
SX Line:
Small, light, and powerful. The latest motor from Bosch weighs only 2.2 kg and provides 55 Nm of power. Seems little, but with a peak performance of 600 Watts, it can provide a lot of power. Ideal for e-road bikes and gravel bikes.

- PowerTube 500: Integrated into the frame, this is the smallest PowerTube in the range and perfect for lightweight, minimalist e-bikes.
- PowerTube 625: This battery is ideal for eMTB adventures and longer routes.
- PowerPack 545: This battery provides enough power for longer and hilly routes and is ideal for shorter trekking trips.
- PowerPack 725: This battery is perfect for longer trips or more demanding rides and for e-cargo bikes or speed pedelecs with higher energy needs.
